A group of dedicated student volunteers from across the United States runs AAPIConnect. Members of our Board of Directors run nationwide operations in collaboration with our Chapter Leaders, who come from every corner of America.

Brandon Cheng

Founder & Executive Director

Brandon is a senior at Flintridge Preparatory School in La Cañada Flintridge, CA. He founded AAPIConnect in 2020 and has spearheaded its growth. He is also a nationally-ranked speech and debate competitor and political organizer. In his free time, he tries new Asian restaurants, cycles and cheers on the L.A. Clippers.

Max Jin

Media Director

Max is a junior at Central Bucks High School South, in Warrington, PA, where he serves as class president. One of his latest projects had garnered the attention of PA State Rep. Brian Munroe, who invited Max to help co-author PA House Bill 2017 helping enact protections for minors on social media across Pennsylvania.

Sam Korman

Technology Director

Sam is a sophomore at Moravian Academy in Bethlehem, PA. He takes part in speech and debate, DECA, Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science Fair, and the Asian Heritage Club. He also enjoys competing in school math events, volunteering at the local hospital, pet sitting, and video games.

Alex Zhang

Outreach Director

Alex is a sophomore at Parkland High School in Orefield, PA. He participates in Science Olympiad, American Math League, Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science Fair and FIRST Robotics Competition, and Asian Language and Culture Club. He enjoys chess, fitness, learning new things, and video games.
