Hon. Mike Eng has served as a Mayor and City Councilman of the first majority Asian city in the U.S. Monterey Park. He was then elected to the California State Assembly representing one of the largest number of Asian Americans in a state district and served six years.  Mike was then elected as a Trustee of the largest community college district in the U.S., the Los Angeles Community College Board of Trustees.  He currently serves on the California Unemployment Appeals Board which consists of five attorneys who review unemployment insurance issues for thousands of California’s workers and businesses.

Stewart Kwoh is the founder, President Emeritus, past president, and past executive director of Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Los Angeles. Stewart, an avid fisherman, is a nationally recognized leader and expert in race relations, Asian American Studies, nonprofit organizations and philanthropies, civil rights, and legal services. In 1998, he was named a MacArthur Foundation Fellow, becoming the first Asian American attorney and human rights activist to receive this highly prestigious recognition, often referred to as the “Genius Grant.” Stewart earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.
